Important Update Information for Crimson® 3.2 Software User
PLEASE NOTE: In version 3.2.1038 Crimson 3.2 adds digital signatures to image files in FlexEdge. Image files will be validated before they are accepted by the FlexEdge. With this change comes the following limitations:

Will not be able to update FlexEdge pre-3.2.1038 with an 3.2.1038 file image. Only updates via Ethernet or USB will be accepted.

Once the FlexEdge has been updated to 3.2.1038 an image file cannot be used to downgrade to previous versions. Only updates via Ethernet or USB will be accepted.
Firmware Compatibility Notice for FlexEdge DA50/DA70 Devices
Before updating your FlexEdge DA50 or DA70, please check the device’s serial number. If the serial number includes a manufacturing date before October 1, 2022 (digits 3–9, e.g., YU01OCT22xxxxx), you must first update to Crimson® firmware version 3.2.0050.0 or later.

Skipping this step could result in permanent device failure in rare cases.
Download Crimson® 3.2.0050.0 firmware to ensure safe updating.
Timestamp Issue Resolved (March 22, 2024)
On March 22, 2024, a timestamp error was discovered in Crimson® versions 3.2, 3.1, 3.0, and 2.0. This affected data, alarm, and event logs.
- Cause: Internal software bug (not a cybersecurity threat)
- Fix: Update to Crimson® version 3.2.1016 or later
Keeping your firmware up to date ensures accurate logging and system reliability.
FlexEdge Downgrade Limitation
After installing this firmware update (version 3.2.0071 or later), you will not be able to downgrade your FlexEdge DA50A or DA70A to earlier versions.
Pre-upgrade requirement:
Ensure your device is running Crimson® 3.2.0016 or later before proceeding.
